Ser Bahadur Deuba elected as the Parliamentary leader of the Nepali Congress party

Ser Bahadur Deuba elected as the Parliamentary leader of the Nepali Congress party. Deuba got 64 votes
and his opponent Gagan Thapa got 25 votes. In the recently concluded general elections, the  Nepali Congress party won 89 seats in the House of Representatives, including 57 in the first past the post system and 32 in the proportional representation voting system. 76 years old Deuba might serve as the next prime-minister if he can create majority of 138 supporting members of the House of Representatives.
