Despite Being Nominated for an Oscar, Hong Chau wants to remain the outcast.

International press are writing about actress Hong Chau, She never imagined becoming an actress before she was nominated for best suppoorting actress in "The Whale". Brendan Fraser claims that she has changed into "a force of nature". While Brendan Fraser's caretaker in the Darren Aronofsky drama "The Whale" earned Hone chau her first Oscar nomination last month, She was passionately edged for a nomination in 2017. Although she is still figuring out how she feels about it, the outcome this time was better. "my sincere response to the nomination was simply relief" she acknowledged. 

The 43 years old Chau never imagined she'd be nominated for an Academy Award as an actress: She was raisesd in New Orleans and was bron to Vietnamese parents in a refugee camp. she studied creative writing and film studies at Boston University. Chau's career began after tshe starred in Paul Thomas Anderson's "Downsizing" after making her big-screen debut in "Inherent vice". Sicne then, she has been a scene-stealer in films like HBO's "Wathmen" and the most recent culinary comedy "The Menu" in which she plays a coolly hostile maitre d'. A number of auteur-driven movies, Such as Kelly Reichardt's "Showing Up" Wes Anderson's "Asteroid City" and Yorgos Lanthimos' "And" will feature chau in the near future, but in the menatime, viewers can watch her in screen in "The Whale" where her character, Liz, Provides a lot of tough love to Fraser's 600-pound recluse. 

According to Fraser, Chau is"a force of nature:titanium backbone, suffers no fools and has a bear trap of a memory". "Because of how diverse and interesting she is, editing her work is an embarrassment of riches. She also has more to say than I do during dialogue, in the pauses and silences between lines".
